By accessing or using Stratagem ("the site", "the service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the site. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. Description of Service

Stratagem is a free, browser-based tool for competitive Pokémon VGC analysis. The service provides team recommendations, a team builder, matchup analysis tools, damage calculations, and a battle simulator. All processing occurs in your browser; no personal data is collected or stored on our servers.

3. Use of the Service

You may use Stratagem for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the site beyond what is permitted by applicable law.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to access the site in a way that places unreasonable load on the infrastructure.
• Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the site's content, design, or tools without prior written permission.
• Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the site or submitting feedback.

4. Intellectual Property

Stratagem is an unofficial fan project. Pokémon, associated names, characters, images, and game mechanics are trademarks and copyrights of Nintendo, Game Freak, Creatures Inc., and The Pokémon Company. All game data referenced by this tool is used under fair use for commentary and analysis.

The Stratagem application code, design, and original written content are the property of the Stratagem team. You may not copy, modify, or distribute these materials without permission.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Game data, damage calculations, and strategic recommendations are approximations and may not perfectly reflect in-game outcomes.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Stratagem team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of competitive ranking, or inaccurate calculations.

7. Third-Party Services

Stratagem uses third-party services including Google AdSense (advertising), PokéAPI (game data), and Cloudflare Pages (hosting). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content, practices, or availability of third-party services.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the service at any time, for any reason, without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

9. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
