Bolt-Wellspring Synergy

BalanceStar Player: Ogerpon-Wellspring

Raging Bolt spreads speed with Electroweb, threatens with Draco Meteor, and still has Thunderclap for priority — it is less about sitting behind Calm Mind and more about controlling how fast the game moves. Ogerpon-Wellspring turns opposing Water attacks into healing: if they try to blast Bolt or fish for Urshifu damage, Wellspring is often a full heal and a counter-swing. Indeedee-F adds Psychic Surge so you can Follow Me or Helping Hand without Prankster mindgames, and Tornadus still gives you Tailwind when you want three turns of tempo instead of terrain wars.

Gameplan

Opening

Consider Raging Bolt plus Ogerpon when you expect Surging Strikes or other Water — position Ogerpon to catch the move so Bolt does not eat a super-effective chunk. If they are leading Fake Out or Intimidate, Incineroar or Indeedee can be the better partner to secure setup or redirect.

Mid-game

Use Tornadus Tailwind when Trick Room is not online and you need Ogerpon or Urshifu to outspeed naturally faster teams; Rain Dance is a tech call when it flips a specific weather matchup — do not throw it blindly into opposing sun unless you have a plan for what changes. Bleakwind Storm chip plus possible speed drops help Bolt's follow-up.

End-game

Late game, Urshifu-Rapid-Strike closes versus steels and Incineroar cleans up with Parting Shot chains — Indeedee Follow Me can save Bolt from a double target when you are one Thunderclap away from stabilizing. If Psychic Terrain is hurting your own priority, time switches so Thunderclap matters on the turn terrain drops.
