Whimsicott + Urshifu

TailwindStar Player: Urshifu

Whimsicott gets Tailwind for free — then Band Urshifu starts clicking Wicked Blow and Close Combat while everyone else is still doing math. Encore is the spice: lock Protect, setup, or a resisted attack and the turn economy swings hard, and Mental Herb covers the one Taunt you didn't scout.

Gameplan

Opening

If they respect Tailwind, lead Whims + Urshifu and choose between immediate Wicked Blow pressure or Encore when you sniff a passive turn — don't Encore blindly into obvious switches.

Mid-game

When Urshifu is walled or locked wrong, Flutter Mane and Raging Bolt clean up special-side; Icy Wind plus Thunderclap covers speed control and priority in different ways depending who's on the field.

End-game

Incineroar (Goggles for Amoonguss matchups) and Rillaboom rotate Fake Out / Intimidate / Glide to keep Whimsicott alive long enough to get a second Tailwind if the game goes long.
